Joseph Donald Mascis

J Mascis, mannen bakom Dinosaur Jr har släppt en ny soloplatta (jag har svårt att se skillnaden mellan Dinosaur Jr och Mascic själv...) som bär namnet "Several Shades Of Why". Lågmäld, akustisk med Joseph Donald Mascis (som han egentligen heter och därför borde förkortningen bli JD Mascis! Mycket coolare tycker jag.) typiska gnällande stämma och med melodier han har gjort sig känd för. Jag går igång och jag faller än en gång för hans fantastiska omslag. Varje bild har en berättelse som jag vill veta fortsättningen på.

Jag har träffat Joseph en gång. Inte personligen utan på håll. Han stod på en scen på Riddarholmen och spelade under namnet Dinosaur Jr. Det var under Vattenfestivalens glada dagar och konserten var sådär.

"Freakscene" blev min inkörningsport till denne man och hans verk. Att avsluta en sån låt med "what a mess" är lysande.
