Giganternas kamp

Minns att det sändes en film på tv under tidigt 70-tal som hette"Giganternas kamp" och handlade om stenåldersmänniskor som slogs mot dinosaurier. Filmen i sig var ingen höjdare men tillräcklig för en 7-8 åring som fick se "rörliga" förhistoriska monster.
Eftermiddagens match är en giganternas kamp i stora mått och betydligt mer verklighets baserad än ovanstående film. En giganternas kamp som intar sådana stora propotioner som inte upplevts sedan "The Rumble In The Jungle" och "The Thrilla In Manilla". Jag har varit i kontakt med Pilas under förmiddagen och som den mästertipparen han är tror han på en jämn match där England drar det längsta strået.
"1-1 efter full tid blir till 3-1 i förlängningen". Där ser man!

"The 100 Greatest Sporting Moments" var ett tv program i UK där tv tittarna fick rösta fram de 100 bästa sport ögonblicken. Att det är en brittisk omröstning framgår ganska väl. Intressant är att de rankar 5-1 vinsten mot Tyskland som den nästa största händelsen!

Rumble in the jungle på sjunde plats och Björn Borg och McEnroe´s tiebreak i Wimbledon 1980.
